Missions at Pine Grove Christian Fellowship

Jesus said* that the gospel message wasn't merely for the nation of Israel (Jerusalem), nor just Israel's neighbors (Judea and Samaria), nor would it be limited to the known world of the time (the Roman empire). It was to be taken to "the ends of the earth." That includes Warren County.

Wherever Christians are, they send representatives to others. We do it by supporting those whom God calls to today's Jerusalem, today's Samaria, and today's "ends of the earth." We gladly support the work of missions, and the people you read about on this page are a few who have special connections to PGCF. Please support them first with your prayers, and also with generous funding to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

*"... you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8, New International Version)

Jim Culbertson, serving as Allegheny District Church Planting Director

So that we don't overlook "Samaria," or the region between Warren County and "the ends of the earth," we support the efforts of the EFCA Allegheny District to plant churches right here on our district, which includes western Pennsylvania, western New York, eastern Ohio, all of West Virginia, and the panhandle of Maryland. We have 29 established churches, and lots of other "irons in the fire" in the form of new embryonic churches. (Continue reading....

Brian Foltz, serving as Executive Director of Allegheny Youth Development

In 1994 Brian Foltz, a young man from rural Pennsylvania (right here in Russell) founded AYD, a Christian-based nonprofit organization in urban Pittsburgh that serves the educational and personal development needs of at-risk teenage boys through after-school and evening programs. Young men, especially inner-city teens, can't change their tough circumstances. But they can change themselves to become resilient to trouble and achieve success. (Continue reading...)
