Missionary to the children of Warren County (serving through BCM)

Right here in our "Jerusalem," Ruth Gray (a member of PGCF) has been tirelessly working for many years through Bible Centered Ministries to organize and conduct release time Christian education classes in the Warren County School District. Through the cooperation of many local churches and the teachers and administrators of the school district, this program has introduced many children to Jesus. Ruthie also conducts an annual Backyard Bible Club at her home each August. 

Bible Centered Ministries International is a global non-denominational ministry dedicated to reaching children and to developing churches worldwide. Originally called the Bible Club Movement, it was founded in 1936 when a returning American missionary, Miss Bessie Traber, heard the pleading of Philadelphia youth to give them Bible clubs like the ones she organized in the Philippines. As children’s ministries expanded to include Christian camping, church planting, leadership training, publishing Bible curriculum and teaching materials, and a variety of compassion and counseling ministries, the Bible Club Movement changed its name to Bible Centered Ministries to reflect its ever-widening focus.

BCM has more than 750 missionaries serving in over 50 countries across five continents as well as Pacific and Caribbean islands. BCM ministers through evangelism, church planting, discipleship, leadership training and publishing Bible curriculum and teaching materials. Children’s ministries such as Bible clubs, release time classes, and camps are central to all BCM fields. Thursday: Sugar Grove Elementary School 12:35-2:45. 116 students taught by Karen Landin.

Thursday: Youngsville Elementary School 1:30-2:30. 42 students taught by Ruth Gray. 

Friday: South Street Elementary Center 1:30-2:30. 47 students taught by Leanna Ashe. 

Friday: Warren Area Elementary Center 1:30-2:30. 126 students taught by Steven Rieder, Yvonne Lee, Ruth Gray. 

Friday: Sheffield Elementary School 1:15-2:30. 47 students taught by Lou Anderson-Nordine, Patsy Bartholomew.
