Missionaries to Hungary (serving with OMS)

We're excited to be supporting the Longs as newly minted missionaries to Hungary. On May 15, 2009, Jonathan and Corinne Long and their two children Carter (born in 2005) and Grant (born in 2008), left the United States to fulfill their call, serving with the mission organization OMS International. 

Jonathan and Corinne were both raised in Christian families and knew from an early age that God had special plans for their lives, which led them to a call to ministry in Hungary and missionary service with OMS International. 

Jonathan is the son of OMS missionaries, and he experienced firsthand the impact on people's lives that missions can have. Although most of his teenage years were spent in the U.S., he developed a strong desire to return to the mission field, especially to Hungary. Jonathan received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2005.

Corinne grew up in Indiana, where her family was actively involved with their church. She experienced “missions in her backyard” through hosting international students during her high school years.

Shortly after Jonathan and Corinne were married they felt God directing them toward ministry and Corinne also sensed God’s call to serve overseas. Even before that they were active in young adult ministry, Sunday school and small group leadership in their church. During a weekend mission conference at their local church, they felt God confirm their call to missionary service.

Jonathan and Corinne are very excited about the opportunity to serve in Budapest, Hungary, where they are ministering to young adults through discipleship and small group ministry. They have a passion to share with others the impact God has made on their own lives, through building relationships and various outreach opportunities. They both are studying the difficult Hungarian language. Jonathan will also be involved in evangelism and church planting. Corinne will serve the field as treasurer.
